a valentine's picnic

While I've never been a huge fan of Valentine's Day, with or without a crush, I'm actually looking forward to this year. Jon and I have been moving at warp speed lately and together time is becoming less and less frequent. So it's nice to know that Valentine's Day this year will be some serious quality time with my adorable husband.

When chatting with a guy pal the other day, he was begging for a creative, but simple idea to surprise his girlfriend for the upcoming day of love. So here's what I came up with. How much fun would a little indoor picnic be? Take a peek at how to plan the perfect picnic and if you want me to share with your main squeeze, I'm happy to send him a hint!

PS. Looking for the perfect evening playlist? Spotify has created a pretty cool round up to make the evening extra special. (And no, they didn't pay me to say that, I just like it!)

I think any girl would swoon over a picnic date. Especially if macaroons were for dessert.

Agreed, Valentine's Day is just a great excuse to pause in your busy life, slow down, and spend some quality time together for a bit. No better way to do this than with a picnic! Great idea.

Fun fact that would embarrass him if he knew I was revealing it here: J used to call me his "little lobster." It had to do with this t shirt I had back in the day. Ergo, I kind of want that card.

Chris this is such a cute idea! My love is many, many miles away in Australia for Valentine's Day this year so I may be picnicing solo which I honestly won't mind. I hope you and your valentine have a fantastic time :)

Thanks for sharing,
Casey
