dvf does shanghai

It isn't often that I come across a collection or campaign video and am that awe-inspired. Most are flashy shots of models or poorly lit interpretations of a designer's collection where you are not able to really see all that much of the actual clothing!

So when this Fall collection video popped up on DVF.com today, I took notice. Kudos to Diane, her Creative Director Yvan, and Tatiana von Furstenberg for creating a beautiful piece of art - something that has a story associated with it and beautifully displays her utilitarian shirt dresses and sophisticated graphic prints.

Have you ever seen The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo? I very much loved how that movie was filmed, so perhaps that is why this collection piece was so striking to me, as I understand campaign videographer Brian Rigney Hubbard used the same RED technology to shoot this piece.

Tell me, has there ever been a brand video that you were really taken by?

Creaminal / Flower by Kenzo with music of The Wanderer by Jil is Lucky...that's a great add.
I also like this one a lot.
